Lauren grew up surrounded by animals thanks to her mom’s career as a veterinary technician, and she’s known since childhood that animal care was where she belonged. She has worked in the veterinary field for about four years, gaining experience in both general practice and aquatic animal medicine. Lauren earned her bachelor’s degree in marine biology and is currently enrolled in RVT school to continue advancing her veterinary career. At home, she cares for a lively group of pets including Mowgli, a Chow Chow; Garage Cat, a calico rescue; and Orange Cat, an orange domestic shorthair she helped raise after the kittens were found in her garage. When she’s not at Bayview Veterinary Center, Lauren enjoys scuba diving, snorkeling, yoga, pilates, dancing, and painting.
