Role Description:
Joining us as a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll become an essential part of Bayview Veterinary Center’s tight-knit team, ensuring that every pet receives the care they deserve. Working closely with our veterinarians and technicians, you’ll support examinations, treatments, and daily animal care, ranging from feeding to bathing. The importance of maintaining an organized and sterile environment cannot be overstated, and your meticulous attention will see to that. Furthermore, your role will involve educating our clients about pet health and creating a holistic approach to animal care. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the examination and treatment of animals under the direction of a veterinarian or veterinary technician.
- Provide basic care to animals in the clinic, including feeding, bathing, and walking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Help with client education regarding pet health.
- Restrain animals during examination and treatment.
- Perform basic laboratory tests.
- Ensure all equipment is clean and ready for use.
