Role Description:
Step into a pivotal role at Bayview Veterinary Center as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Your days will entail assisting veterinarians in an array of procedures, from surgical to dental. With the responsibility of administering vital medications and treatments, performing diagnostic tests, and being vigilant while monitoring patients under anesthesia, your expertise is the backbone of our clinic’s operations. But it’s not all about technicalities; you’ll also have the privilege of educating pet owners and extending our care beyond clinic walls. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Perform diagnostic tests and X-rays.
- Monitor patients under anesthesia and assist in surgeries.
- Provide client education on pet care, nutrition, and preventive medicine.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
Qualifications:
- California Registered Veterinary Technician License in good standing.
- 3-5 years of experience in a veterinary setting preferred.
- Excellent animal handling skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
