Dr. Marie Benitez grew up in San Diego, California, where her lifelong love for animals inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2000, she went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University in 2006. She is a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the California Veterinary Medical Association, and the San Diego County Veterinary Medical Association.
Her professional interests include Internal Medicine and Dermatology, and she finds the most rewarding part of her work to be providing quality care for her patients while building lasting relationships with their families. Dr. Benitez’s dedication, attention to detail, and compassionate approach help ensure pets receive the best possible care throughout their lives.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Benitez enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two daughters. At home, she shares her life with Lottie, a playful Dalmatian who keeps the whole family entertained. Whether exploring new destinations or enjoying quiet time at home, Dr. Benitez values creating meaningful experiences both inside and outside of veterinary medicine.
